Phu Sang (Thai: ภูซาง; IPA: [pʰūː sāːŋ]) is a district (Amphoe) of Phayao Province in northern Thailand.

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Chiang Kham of Phayao Province and Thoeng of Chiang Rai Province. To the northeast is Xaignabouli Province of Laos.
The minor district was established on June 26, 1996. The new district became effective on July 15, and covered five tambon previously belonging to Chiang Kham district.[1]
Following a decision of the Thai government on May 15, 2007, all of the 81 minor districts were to be upgraded to full districts.[2] With the publishing in the Royal Gazette on August 24 the upgrade became official.[3]
The district is subdivided into 5 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 58 villages (muban). Sop Bong is a subdistrict municipality (thesaban tambon) which covers the whole tambon Sop Bong. There is further 4 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
